I] About Steel Graves
1.1) What are Steel Graves?
Steel Graves contains a series of 15 chapters, intended for "training" purposes. Consumables, such as medikits, boosts, or Resurrectors cannot be used in Steel Graves. Active akashas are usable though.
Chapters are all cut in 5 parts called "stage". Each stage rewards some BP and special chests. (More details on the Steel Graves Database)
It is a solo mode only, you cannot enter Steel Graves as a team.
Entering Steel Graves consume one Steel Graves entry but does not consume any FP!
Steel Graves are worth doing at the current state of the game mostly for the BP they reward. For craft materials, you can convert them into weapon/gear cores at Trisha but it takes quite some time to get high values of Ultimate cores through this method.
1.2) Entrance & Limitations
Steel Graves’ entrance is marked by a purple portal and is located at Candus, Grace City and Ruin Fortress. They can be entered from these 3 entrances; they all lead to the same instance.
For older players of the GF version, beware about Grace's portal! It was moved from its previous place and is now located near the sandpark behind MinWoo (entrance coordinates: 295, 378 on the mini map)
Steel Graves can only be accessed a limited number of times per day (5 entries). The entry limit resets every day at the reset time.
The entry limit can also be reset by using a special item: [Raid Permit] Steel Graves. This one can be obtained by completing Steel Graves side quests.
1.3) Chapters' Groups
Steel Graves are divided into 3 groups of chapters: 1 to 5, 6 to 10, and 11 to 15.
The first 5 chapters reward materials required to craft the level 35 unique set, called the "MK set"; Chapters 6 to 10 reward materials used to craft the level 45 set, also called "MK2 set"; The last 5 chapters reward materials for the level 55 set, also called "MK3 set".
Each stage of each chapter has a chance to initiate a hidden quest; completing those quests rewards some bonus material chests. The possible hidden quests vary depending on the current chapter. (More details on the Steel Graves Database)
Blueprints for weapons/gears can be obtained in special chests that can only be dropped in the last chapters of each group (so chapters 5, 10 and 15).
1.4) Crafting
In the Steel Graves' logic, the MK set is required to craft MK2 set and the MK2 set is required to craft the MK3 set. The 2nd series of Aurith gear set blueprints (obtained in Golden Citadel) can be crafted using MK3 set's pieces.
Seeing the rewards from the level 55 gift box and those of later boxes, using such practice to obtain a gear set is nothing more than useless. Just don't bother crafting such gear sets in order to obtain an Aurith gear set, and do it only if you plan to collect every equipment pieces.
