Energy / Fatigue Points

I] Energy in SoulWorker

Energy or "Fatigue Points(also called "FP", or "EP" by older players which mean "Energy Point") is a limiting factor in SoulWorker. It is displayed on the bottom right of the User Interface (and is displayed as on the image above).

energy bar

Each maze consumes energy when you enter it.

District 6 and Steel Graves are not affected by this factor, you can enter them with or without energy at all. Event mazes as well as the world boss aren't concerned by this FP consumption too.

II] About Consumption

2.1) How does Consumption work?

Maze's consumption is indicated on the right of the episode's name. Sometimes, a maze can have reduced FP consumption, which halves the regular consumption.

consumption details

The half of the indicated amount of FP is consumed at the start, and the other half is consumed when the boss is killed or if you leave the maze by using the "Leave maze" function (esc. menu).

If a player disconnects during maze completion (voluntarily or not), or was killed and abandoned the maze, only half of the total FP is consumed. A player that got disconnected and who can invade the maze after relogin will consume the regular amount of FP after killing the boss of the maze*.

*Read this point of the Q&A.

If your current energy is under the maze’s requirements, you cannot enter them anymore. You need to recover your FP to enter again. (Details here)

2.2) Reduced FP Consumption

There seems not to have any week-end event for reduced FP consumption anymore on the global version of SoulWorker. However, the maze tag "Reduced FP consumption" can still appear randomly on any regular maze.
About the consumption with such a bonus, things become a bit special:

  • The reduced consumption bonus halves the normal consumption but the system aforementioned still applies. In case the reduced consumption results in an odd number, you will consume 1 more FP than the presupposed consumption: for example, if you were supposed to consume 9 FP in a maze under reduced consumption (so 18 with the normal one), you actually consume 10 FP in total instead of 9. This exists since the consumption is halved itself while running the maze: you need to kill the boss to consume all the required FP for a given maze. Doing this, halving a 9 FP consumption will result in a 4.5 FP consumption from the moment you enter the maze, but the game doesn't allow half FPs. That's why you consume 10 instead of 9 in this example, so that you consume 5 FP by entering the district instead of 4.5; this is the way the game avoids half FPs.
  • The reduced consumption bonus may apply but the displayed consumption is still the one of the regular consumption. Using the previous example, the maze displays 18 FP required to enter it but you actually consume 10 FP. This is a bit annoying in one case: if you're almost out of FP and have enough to clear one more run under reduced consumption, you still can't run the maze because of "insufficient FP". That's because the player who launches the maze needs to have the required amount under normal consumption to run the maze (so 18 in the previous example), even if he has enough to clear it under reduced consumption. This fact applies for a player who is either running alone or in a team in which he is the leader. However, if he has enough FP to clear the maze under reduced consumption but not under the normal one, and if he is a part of a team where he is not the leader, he can run the maze without any problem(Need confirmation!).

III] How does Energy Reset work?

On the global server, energy resets every day at (+0)To get the reset hour for your current location, simply determine what is your GMT time and do the conversion (for example, someone living in a place with GMT+6 will see the daily reset occurring at . Someone living with GMT-2 will have reset at , and etc.)
You can see details about reset time (+ maintenances) on this page.

Energy reset adds a maximum of 200 FP. If you had remaining energy from the last day, it will be halved and added as "Bonus Energy".

Bonus Energy is consumed before Regular Energy. If a player has Bonus Energy when the daily reset happens, he will not lose any of it.
This is an example of the concept:
the day ends with 100 FP left. After reset, you will get 200 FP and the remaining energy is divided by 2 and added as Bonus Energy, so it makes 200 + 50, thus makes 250 FP for the new day. If you don’t consume your Bonus FP in the future days, each reset will add 100 FP to your Bonus Energy (the half of the regular reset bonus) until you hit 600 Total Energy (200 regular + 400 bonus).

All Bonus Energy is lost on weekly reset (this occurs every Monday at the reset time).

IV] How to Restore Energy else way?

Energy can be recovered in 3 ways: waiting for the daily reset, using an energy vitamin, or by using a community mat/radio.

Active players may not want to systematically wait after the daily reset to play again, so they will mainly use vitamins or mats (if they don't play with other characters).

4.1) FP Vitamins

Energy potions, called Power Vitamins, can be used to recover a fixed amount of FP immediately. There are 4 types of energy potions:

vitamins list

Each day, you can use up to 3 vitamins independently of the vitamins used. Limits are lifted every day at the reset time.
This limit doesn't apply for the Z vitamins! You can use as many Z vitamins as you want until you use the last one you had.

The Super High-Dose Vitamin Z is a special vitamin which is given for free while leveling your character. You can also obtain some during events.
Other vitamins can be purchased from the Gruton Shop with Gruton Coin (50 golds for 20 FP potions, 150 golds for 30 FP, and 300 golds for 50 FP) or by completing specific quests; the daily purchase limit is fixed to 1 for each vitamin.

It is also possible to obtain vitamins from the Card matching Game Field, which is a memo game rewarding with vitamins for participants. The winner obtains a 30 FP vitamin while the loser obtains a 20 FP vitamin. Those have no use limit. Game Fields cannot be obtained at the moment, except through HEMS gifts few times.

4.2) Community Mats/Radios

Community mats/radios are another way to restore FP during the day. These items currently recover 5 FP per minute spent using them. There is no daily usage limitation for them.

restorers

There seem not to be any available radio throughout the game for the moment.

Radios and mats last for a bit more than 10 minutes, allowing you to obtain 50 FP out of them. Event mats (cherry blossom) last for 12 minutes and then allow you to recover up to 60 FP per mat.

Currently, there is no other way to obtain such FP restorer items other than getting them for free through gifts from the developers or during event (if available craft for them).

4.3) Notes About Mats/Radios and FP Excesses

Once placed down, both radios and community mats can be used even if you are not the owner of them. Each one allows up to 4 players in addition of the owner to use it at one time (5 players in total).

If you are the owner and leave the mat/radio to enter a district or basically leave the city zone, it is removed from the city zone at the same time you left it. Being disconnected also results in this. Note that a used mat/radio doesn’t return to your inventory during its lasting time after being used, so try to stay in the city zone as much as possible after you used them. Otherwise, you will lose the item indefinitely and waste its remaining time.

If you have 200 FP or more, you cannot gain any more energy from mats/radios nor vitamins. If you have less than 200 FP and use a vitamin, but the vitamin will make your energy exceed 200 FP, the vitamin will only restore your energy up to 200 FP and will not go higher. You will cap at 200 FP and miss out on the remaining restored energy no matter what.
